Ministry of Skate team has now gained valuable and much appreciated
sponsorship from leading clothing manufacurer Joe
Bloggs Clothing. Joe Bloggs is an iconic brand
known by many for their cutting edge designs. Who else could be
better to keep our team in cool hardwearing threads! :-) The
team has now changed name to reflect the change in sponsor and will now
be known as Team Joe Bloggs. Joe Bloggs will be keeping our
team of six riders in new threads and providing ministryOfSk8 users
opportunities to win cool stuff over the coming year. A big

Think
you are good enough to ride with
the Team JB team riders? We are looking for riders aged 10+
to be
part of our official Joe Bloggs / MOS team. We have 12 places
up for
grabs! To apply simply register for free on the MOS system
and then send in your photos or videos of your best tricks and we will
give them a look. We may also post them on our gallery or
homepage! Don't
forget to put your membership
number on the email subject so we know
who you are!
How
to get sponsored as a skate boarder and FAQ.
OK
guys n gals, theres no magic bullet to get a skate sponsorship but we
will try and give you some tips. This info is for riders
looking to get sponsored by Team Joe Bloggs but applies
equally for anyone trying to get sponsored by other big names.
The MOS approach is somewhat different than many sponsors in
that we are looking for a broad range of ages and abilities and focus
on both personality as well as skills.
What will Team Joe Bloggs
sponsorship
mean for me?
Well it will mean some commitment
from you and you will be expected to try and attend some MOS events and
outings in your area as well as consider events further afield.
We will expect you to be presentable and be a good ambassador
for the MOS and our sponsors Joe
Bloggs Clothing. This means not being blind
drunk on youtube whilst doing a hand stand wearing our sponsors
clothing
etc!!! :-) On the plus side, you will get Team Joe Bloggs and
other
free clothing, a possible monthly clothing allowance and lots of other
cool stuff.
How
old do I need to be?
We are looking for riders
(boy or girl) between 10-16 years and will accept entries from riders
who are 17 in the year they join upto their next birthday.
For our PRO Team we are looking for riders 18+ and the same
applies to them as for the yoth team.
How good do I have to be and do I
have to have a sideboard full of trophies?
Of
course you need to be able to skate well! We are not asking
you to be Tony Hawks but good board skills and a huge enthusiasm to get
better are essential. We
have 6 Team MOS development squad places available and so
if you are a good street rider and out there practicing you
could be eligible for this.
How do I go about getting
sponsored by MOS then?
OK so you think your
pretty good, maybe you have a few mates who are good also.
The best way is to send us some photos or videos.
Camera phone vids are fine, just email them with your MOS
membership number (available free here)
and tell us your age and some stuff about your skating life etc and a
few lines on why you think you would make a great ambassador for the
MOS team and or co-sponsors. If there are a few of you, why
not invite us along to your skatepark we might just bing the MOS team
van and make a day of it!
